The combined value of impact startups now totals €1.6T, a 12x increase since 2017. There are now 146 impact unicorns globally, with 52 of those passing the billion dollar mark in 2021 alone. And funding for impact startups is at an all-time high.

Dutch startups - a (rapidly-growing) 130,000 workforce
In our third annual edition of the Dutch startup jobs report in partnership with TechLeap and CBRE, we’ve found that startups in the Netherlands have created 130,000 local jobs across the country.
Since 2018, startup jobs have grown at an average annual rate of 8%, faster than any other individual sector, providing a powerful and resilient jobs growth engine.
The jobs being created by startups range far beyond technical jobs. Two thirds of all open vacancies in Dutch startups are in non-technical areas such as sales, business development, legal, HR or customer support.
