🇺🇸 Austin: city of unicorns and tech giants
America’s 11th-largest city, Austin, Texas is firmly on the radar as the next hotbed for tech. The region is home to more than 3,380 fast-growing companies, including 20 unicorns, and the city’s total combined enterprise value reached $115.3B in 2022, up 2.7x in the last five years. Counter to overall US tech industry performance, Austin’s ecosystem value has grown between 2021 and 2022.
To elevate the region’s digital resources and facilitate the development of its high-tech economy, Austin's Chamber of Commerce has launched its own digital database mapping the ecosystem, powered by Dealroom.

🇩🇪 What’s Germany's startup strategy about?
The Government of Germany announced its new Startup Strategy on July 27th, which among 10 long-awaited measures included an astonishing 30 billion euro “Future Fund” to support tech startups. The fund will prioritize companies building deep tech and climate-oriented ventures, including AI, hydrogen, quantum, and sustainable mobility.
