| View in browser August 25, 2022 B2B delivery delivers the goods    As consumers return to in-person activities, and businesses adapt to supply chain bottlenecks, B2B logistics & delivery is holding out better than B2C logistics & delivery.   B2C delivery & logistics companies have had a tough year, while the NASDAQ has fallen 15% since last year, companies like Uber and Deliveroo have lost 45% and 75% compared to their all time highs.    And they're not alone, last week Meta and DoorDash announced a new partnership, and expand into delivering Facebook Marketplace items, in a bid to generate revenue after DoorDash’s shares have fallen almost 70%. Despite reporting a year-over-year growth of total deliveries of 23% this quarter.   B2C focused delivery & logistics marketplaces have lost 11% of EV since last year and H1 2022 VC funding has fallen 52% compared to record breaking H2 2021. While the B2B segment is holding its ground as EV has grown since last year and VC funding has fallen only 2% (pushed by a Flexport megaround). Will B2C delivery recover? The health retailer was securing a SPAC worth $1.5B last year, but is now liquidating its assets and laying off staff after it failed to secure more funding. - CNBC   💰 Telegram founder teases marketplace for address auctions. Telegram founder has mentioned the possibility of releasing a marketplace for addresses on The Open Network,  intended as a decentralized payment system. The network's native coin increased its value by 15% after the announcement as a potential capture point for Telegrams' 500M+ users. - CoinDesk   Latest marketplace deals: Selected this week:   🇮🇳 InsuranceDekho, the Indian insurance aggregator platform, has raised $100M as it scales a new solution to capture offline markets.   🇺🇸 Incredible Health, a US-based recruitment marketplace for nurses, has raised a $80M Series B at a $1.6B valuation. The funding will go to creating the structure needed to support the scale the company has seen on its way to reach 90% of the US nurse workforce.   🇮🇳 ShipRocket, the Indian shipping aggregator, has raised $33.5M in funding round set to help improve company operations for expansion.   Other promising marketplace deals:   🇺🇸 FreshRealm, a fresh meal e-commerce provider, has received $200M to fuel expansion.   🇰🇷 Brandi, a South Korean fashion marketplace, has raised $20M to expand through its vertical specific commerce apps.    Explore 200+ funding rounds of the last week.   Notable exits:   🇳🇱🇧🇷 Prosus, global consumer media and e-commerce group, has acquired iFood, the leading food delivery marketplace in Latam, for $1.8B.   🇦🇪 Noon, a UAE e-commerce platform, has acquired Namshi, a fashion marketplace, for $335M.
