As part of the Collision Conference in Toronto, StartupAmsterdamand Dealroom presented a Masterclass on Amsterdam: The data-driven story of Europe's most connected startup hub, covering the talent, capital and startup challenges of the city.
We discussed Amsterdam’s increasing maturity as a startup hub, and the policy initiatives and programs which contributed to this.
“Collision 2022 offered a great opportunity to present Amsterdam’s story to North American companies – and a great story requires great data. We took the findings from our most recent H1 2022 funding report and crafted the perfect pitch for a jointly hosted Masterclass.” Bas Beekman, Program Director, StartupAmsterdam
GO Topeka launches their ecosystem platform
Topeka, the capital of Kansas, a small, yet growing tech hub, has been gaining momentum over the last few years. Topeka and Shawnee County are focusing on attracting agtech and health science startups, where they already have an existing base of large companies such as Hill’s Pet Nutrition. The region has become known as the Kansas City Animal Health Corridor with companies there representing 56% of the total animal health, diagnostics, and pet food sold worldwide, totaling $21.5 billion in sales.
Part of the Silicon Prairie, the Midwest innovation community, which covers the communities of Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri, Topeka’s innovation ecosystem is now easily discovered online on the Kansas innovation platform, powered by Dealroom.
