๐บ๐ธ SpotOn, a SF-based payment software company, raised $300M Series F at $3.6B valuation. The company almost doubled its valuation since May last year when it became a unicorn. It has also tripled its revenue in the restaurant business in the same period.
This round comes at a time when foodtech public equity valuations are 28% down since the end of last year. The publicly traded rival Toast has struggled since its IPO in September 2021 with share price down 74%.
๐บ๐ธ Regrow, an agriculture carbon reduction company, raised $38M in Series B funding led by Galvanize Climate Solutions. The Ukranian-born founder Dr. Anastasia Volkova launched her company as part of Sydney University's innovation program. In 2020 she moved to the US to grow the company's operations. Today, the company enables regenerative agriculture programs on over 2M acres globally.
