😵‍💫 New Anti-Hangover Pill Claims to Rapidly Break Down Alcohol, But Does It Work? A new anti-hangover supplement has just gone on sale in the UK. It is marketed by Swedish firm Myrkl as "the pre-drinking pill that works". The pill is said to break down up to 70 percent of alcohol after 60 minutes. - Science Alert

🔬 The evidence for Myrkl is based on a single published research study. Twenty-four healthy young white adults were asked to take either two Myrkl pills or dummy pills (placebo) each day for seven days.

🦠 Skin Patch Test Detects COVID-19 in Under Three Minutes. A skin-patch test can now detect the COVID-19 virus, and potentially other infectious agents in under three minutes, without the need to draw blood. This convenience overcomes a current challenge in identifying infected individuals who are averse to blood tests. - Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology  News

🇺🇸 Evolved by Nature, a startup creating a proprietary library of molecules from natural silk protein, raised $120M in Series C to accelerate development, commercialization  and fund the completion of its state-of-the-art production facility. 

🇬🇧 MiroBio, leader in the development of checkpoint agonists to treat autoimmune diseases, raised $97M in Series B. Funds will primarily be used to advance MiroBio’s two lead antibody candidates into clinical trials and obtain safety and efficacy data in patients with autoimmune diseases.
