🇨🇦 Paper, a Montreal, Canada-based school software provider, raised $270M in Series D funding. The round was led by Sapphire and Softbank Vision Fund 2.
🇺🇸 Tech healthcare unicorn Ro Health has raised $150M at a $7B valuation, a rise from $5B in March when the company raised $500M in a Series D. The previous round was partially deployed on the acquisition of Workpath, Kit, and Modern Fertility, with a $100M deal for Dadi also on the cards.
🇫🇮 Helsinki-based Swappie, an online platform for selling refurbished smartphones, has raised €108M to expand their marketplace for refurbished smartphones across Europe. The funding was secured in a Series C led by growth equity firm Verdane, alongside existing investors Lifeline Ventures, Inventure, Reaktor Ventures, and TESI. Swappie will use the capital injection to accelerate its European expansion.
🇸🇬 The Singapore based food startup Next Gen Foods announced a $100M Series A. The company's first product, TiNDLE, a plant-based chicken substitute, is currently sold in 70 restaurants across Singapore, Macau, and Hong Kong. The funding round is the largest Series A to date for a plant-based meat company and was led by Alpha JWC Ventures, EDBI, and MPL Ventures, among others.

🇬🇧 The sustainable blockchain ecosystem, 5ire, raised $100M in Early VC investments as it seeks to file for an IPO.
🇪🇸 Novameat has closed a funding round of $6M in Pre-Series A to accelerate whole cut plant-based steak using proprietary 3D printing and microextrusion techniques. Novameat expects to launch its first products in Spanish restaurants this year, followed by expanded retail partnerships in 2023.
🇩🇰 Danish insect protein startup, Enorm, has closed a funding round of $55M. Among the investors is DLG, one of Europe’s largest agribusiness companies. The investment means that the company can move from pilot to industrial production. Enorm is planning to expand its facility, located in Jutland, Denmark. The new site is anticipated to be fully operational in the second half of 2023, with output of 100 tons of larval biomass per day, equivalent to around 11,000 tons of insect protein meal per year.
🇬🇧 Bramble Energy, a London-based fuel cell company have raised £35M Series B for its liquid-cooled fuel cell stack.

🇫🇷 🇺🇸 French energy hardware and services firm Schneider Electric have acquired US rooftop solar customer comparison platform EnergySage. One in five US solar customers visit EnergySage.com to research their options. The marketplaces will continue to operate independently under Schneider ownership.
