A third of all investment into European startups has come from US investors so far in 2021. That compares to ~25% of capital coming across the pond over the last five years. US involvement in megarounds for Northvolt, Klarna and UIPath have boosted totals, that contributed to a record quarter for VC in Europe.

Impact is booming. Just 3 months into the year, investment into impact startups is at 42% of 2020's total. On the open-access impact and innovation database, we just passed 6,000 startups individually mapped against at least one UN Sustainable Development Goal.
