Highlights from 2020

In startups and venture capital in 2020, a few stories and trends caught the attention.

💊 Startup were actively combating Covid-19, developing tests, cleaning robots and vaccines.

🛒 Others were making life easier during lockdown, with edtech solutions, collaboration tools and online groceries.

💰 Impact became a genuinely mainstream part of startup ecosystems, particularly in Europe.

🌍 Climate tech staked a claim as the next frontier for VC.

💻 Online marketplaces became part of society's critical infrastructure.

✊ Diversity became a vital topic of conversation in the tech industry.

Outlook on 2021

2020 might have been hard to predict, but here's a few things we expect on the agenda in 2021.
