The most exciting early-stage investment growth in the US happens outside of the usual hotspots. The last 5 years witnessed impressive growth in certain regions, especially in Milwaukee: +217% growth (+92% last 12 months alone.) The city also boasts the lowest average age of businesses in the nation. It's mainly cities within the Midwest and East Coast regions experiencing the most growth in early-stage venture capital investment based on dollar amount contributed.
