While sidewalk robots promise to deliver food and groceries with less carbon emissions, they also have an impact on low-mobility pedestrians as well as the elderly and children. 🇳🇱 Deliveroo to exit Netherlands, loss widens in first-half. After failing to gain a strong position against the rivals such as Just Eat's TakeAway, and UberEats, the Netherlands accounts for just 1% of Deliveroo's GMV. - Reuters

🇺🇸 Bevi, a Boston-based beverage technology company, raised $70M in Series D funding from Cowen Group. Launched in 2013, Bevi aims to reduce single-use packaging by offering still and sparkling water on tap.

🥤 There are 9 other companies working on similar solutions, including Castalie and 4Life Solutions, but Bevi is the most funded and ahead in terms of product development, by far.

🇺🇸 Farmstead, a California-based AI-driven grocery delivery service, raised $40M to accelerate product development. The company uses AI to suggest grocery items and reduce food waste. The company also works with local farmers to source fruits and vegetables.
