❌ Amazon will shut down Amazon Care on December 31st. Amazon to shut down Amazon Care, the virtual health service launched in 2019, by the end of the year.  This comes on the heels of Amazon’s planned acquisition of the subscription-based primary care company One Medical. Amazon is also reportedly interested in buying Signify Health, a company that makes tech for at-home health care. - The Verge 

🧠 Sensor detects Parkinson's during sleep. The researchers used an artificial intelligence tool to sift through mountains of data from study participants to find patterns that identify the disease and determine severity. An early diagnosis could enable patients to start treatments earlier, potentially forestalling the progression of the disease. - Futurity

🤔 Babylon’s options: Delist — or stay trading? Babylon is unlikely to end up in a situation where it’s actually kicked off the NYSE. If the company doesn’t start trading above $1 soon, it could do a reverse stock split, which would convert each share into a fraction of a share. That would not change the value of the company — but it would increase the share price. - Sifted

🇺🇸 Aktis Oncology, a biotechnology company discovering and developing novel classes of targeted alpha radiopharmaceuticals to treat a broad range of solid tumors, raised $84M in Series A. 

🇺🇸 Digital Diagnostics, an AI-based diagnosis company, raised $75M in Series B. The company's flagship product, IDx-DR, an autonomous AI diagnostic system designed to detect diabetic retinopathy (including diabetic macular edema) at the point-of-care, is the first FDA De Novo cleared autonomous AI in health care.

Other notable deals from around the globe:

🇧🇪 eTheRNA immunotherapies, mRNA-platform for cancer and infectious diseases, raised $39M in Series B. 

🇺🇸 Nitra raised $61M in Equity and Debt. Nitra was founded with a mission to bring modern financial products, integrated medical software, and supply chain solutions to practitioners and physicians. 

🇺🇸 Plume, virtual care for transgender patients, raised $24M in Series B. Plume plans to use the capital from the Series B to expand nationwide, move into virtual primary care and add insurance coverage for the company's services.
